"James Webb" looked into the distant past, showing the early universe on video

NASA shared 3D visualizations of exclusive data from the James Webb telescope. In the video, you can see more than 5,000 galaxies in full color and three dimensions.
All of them are in the Extended Grotto Strip. This region of space is located between the constellations Ursa Major and Bootes.
As the visualization progresses, different stages of the evolution of the universe can be seen, the authors note. Space travel begins with relatively nearby galaxies located within several billion light-years from Earth, and culminates in the Macy Galaxy, the earliest of known to science. It formed about 390 million years after the Big Bang and is 13.4 billion light-years away.
Most of these galaxies were discovered by the Hubble telescope. However, in his images, these are only dots. In the pictures of "James Webb" they acquired a lot of detail, which is explained by the sensitivity of this apparatus to the infrared range.
Before, we couldn't study galaxies like Macy's. Now we have the opportunity not only to find them, but also to find out what they consist of and how they differ from later formations.

Now scientists want to focus on studying the process of star formation in early galaxies.
