Xiaomi 14 will be the smartphone with the narrowest screen bezels in the world

A schematic image of the flagship Xiaomi 14 leaked to the Web confirms that the smartphone will receive frames with a thickness of only 1 mm - this is at least 20% less than the current champions in this parameter. About it informs Chinese edition of MyDrivers, citing a Digital Chat Station insider.

To make Xiaomi 14 the smartphone with the narrowest bezels, the manufacturer turned to display supplier China Star Optoelectronics (a division of TCL Corporation). We jointly developed a new screen structure that brings the wiring under the display area, freeing up space at the edges. Moreover, these changes have improved the panel's energy efficiency by approximately 8%.

Xiaomi 14 with the new China Star screen is expected to be unveiled in November. According to the same Digital Chat Station, the base Xiaomi 14 will receive a 4,860 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro will have a 5,000mAh battery, 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be responsible for performance.

The base Xiaomi 14 will come with a flat screen, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro will have flat and curved display options. Another difference in the Pro version will be an improved camera.
