Google's Pixel Fold Foldable Smartphone Failed the Durability Test

The internal screen is scratched even with a fingernail, but this is not the worst.
Well-known blogger from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything got to the brand new flagship Pixel Fold and ran all my usual tests on it. He tested the gadget for resistance to scratches and fire, tried to bend it, and also assessed the reliability of the hinge with sand.
In our first scratch tests, the Pixel Fold's outer screen held up well with other foldable devices, but the internal display was very soft. It is easy to scratch even with a fingernail, which is generally expected, since the bendable panels have a plastic coating, the blogger noted.
This plastic does not immediately melt when exposed to fire, which is good, but the smartphone simply turned off in this test, which is bad. There was no such problem with the external display, but there was a trace of fire there.
The Pixel Fold survived the rather difficult sand test well - the smallest particles did not get into the hinge, which means that the bending mechanism itself will be quite reliable in the long run.
Finished the smartphone test for reverse bending. Usually in such tests only the display and the hinge, which was not designed for such an impact, suffer, but in this case even the case cracked. The kink appeared on the upper end in the area of the antenna.
What eventually happened to the smartphone after all the tests - in the video above.
