"You just don't understand art."
British company Engineered Arts, which created a humanoid robot Ameca with an actively developing facial expressions, once again improved its development. This time, Stable Diffusion was introduced into the robot so that it “learned” how to draw.
Ameca sends a request to the neural network, simplifies the resulting image, and then calculates the trajectory of the marker movement in order to draw the desired lines with the marker on the board.
In the video, Ameca, at the request of an engineer, draws a cute cat and talks about why people love cats so much. True, in the process of reasoning, the robot does not say “you”, but “we” and “I” - that is, it considers itself to be a people (well, or at least cat lovers).
At the end, Ameca asks the engineer how he likes the drawing - and he replies that it is, well, just a sketch. Ameca replies, "If you don't like my art, then you probably just don't understand the art."
It looks like the creators are already monetizing Ameca's new skill: in the YouTube video description, the creators recommend those who wish to receive a drawing from the robot and a video with its creation, contact by e-mail for options and rates.
