In Russia, the length of the working week has increased. Have you started working more?

In January-March 2023, employees worked an average of 38 hours and 30 minutes per week. This is 16 minutes more than last year - and a record since 2010, when Rosstat began to sum up such quarterly statistics. About it writes RCH with reference to FinExpertiza study based on Rosstat data.
The vast majority of Russians (89.8%) worked 31-40 hours a week. 4.3% worked more than 40 hours, and 3.9% worked less than 31 hours a week.
The situation is now in direct contrast to the second quarter of 2020, when at the height of the pandemic, the average actual workweek dropped to 31 hours and 37 minutes.
Experts involved by RBC believe that the workload has increased due to an acute shortage of staff, transition of individual enterprises to work in several shifts, as well as increasing economic involvement women.
