It keeps jars and bottles cold for up to 30 hours.
The American brand Monty Coolers has released two updated models of portable drink coolers that are easy to carry. In fact, these are thermal bags designed for ordinary backpacks.
The manufacturer offers two models: Mayfly with a volume of 14 liters and Shasta with 23 liters. They have the same shape: these are rectangular backpacks with fasteners at the top and a strap for wearing over the shoulder.
The Mayfly holds 15 cans of drinks, 3 bottles of wine, or everything for a picnic for two. Shasta fits 24 cans, 5 bottles of wine or picnic food to the whole company. The creators claim that drinks will stay cold for up to 30 hours, regardless of the backpack size chosen.
At the heart of these backpacks is an insulation system, like in down jackets. Only instead of fluff, which loses its thermal insulation properties when wet, they used hydrophobic synthetic insulation, which is not damaged by moisture. Thanks to this, backpacks managed to be made soft and compact: unlike coolers with a frame, they can be rolled up and put into a small bag when the drinks are over. The insulation is sheathed in nylon: the creators wanted the cooler to be taken on a fishing trip and not be afraid to get wet on the outside.
Monti Mayfly is priced at $119, Shasta is $144. This is approximately 10,600 and 12,900 rubles, respectively. Both backpacks are already available for purchase at manufacturer's website.
