It even encrypts email addresses and notes to classified information.
The Swiss company Proton officially launched your password manager with end-to-end encryption Proton Pass. The service is now available to all users.
It can be used as an extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Brave browsers, as well as a mobile application for iOS and Android. It is noted that when installed, it automatically replaces the default password manager.
On the iPhone, the service only works with Safari and mobile apps. But it already knows how to synchronize logins and passwords between Apple devices.
Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption and, in addition to passwords, hides email addresses, URLs, and user notes on sensitive information. In addition, users can save credit card information and use anonymous email accounts if they do not want to use a real one during registration.
The service is conditionally free. However, some advanced features require payment. The premium subscription includes the option of two-factor authentication, as well as an unlimited number of anonymous email aliases (in the basic version, no more than 10). Soon, it will also be possible to create shared vaults so that you can securely share passwords with family and friends.
