The giant gadget did not stay at home: the creator drove it around New York on a cart for two days and even rode it on the subway.
YouTuber Matthew Beam has decided to break the existing record for the largest working iPhone in the world. It belongs to YouTuber ZHC, who in 2020 did iPhone is 6 feet tall (≈1.8 meters) and weighs about 136 kg. Despite the size, it could be used as a regular smartphone. And Bim had to repeat this, but already in the size of 7 feet (≈2.1 meters).
He set himself the task of making the layout of all elements as close as possible to the real iPhone 14 Pro, and each button and switch must be functional. The case itself is also similar to a regular iPhone: the rear panel is made of frosted glass, the frame is made of polished metal. The apple logo, of course, was also added.
To display the image, a TV was installed in front (the diagonal is not specified), to which a touchscreen for touch control was added. Don't forget about the camera. As a result, the smartphone turned out to be really working: it allows you to use Safari, send messages, take pictures with the front camera, and even make FaceTime calls.
After that, the smartphone was driven around New York for two days, completing a list of tasks. So, it was necessary to ride the subway, pay for the purchase using Apple Pay, book a hotel and check into it, take a morning run, and also get a review from the famous tech blogger MKBHD. The gadget received a score of 8 out of 10 - MKBHD noted that it would be 9 if the giant iPhone could call Siri.
