Russia will develop a single application for finding chargers for electric vehicles
Miscellaneous / / June 22, 2023
The Russian government plans to create a single application - an aggregator of electric vehicle charging stations. It could be up and running this year. About it told Vedomosti, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov.
Kolesnikov noted that now electric vehicle manufacturers have separate applications for finding chargers. There is an aggregator "Energy of Moscow", but not all charges are displayed in it. This creates discomfort for users, especially those who travel to different regions of the country.
To develop a new service, the Ministry of Energy will unite with Yandex and other aggregators. Most likely, they will take something from existing solutions as a basis in order to speed up development.
At the same time, Andrei Reznikov, a representative of Motorinvest (manufacturer of Evolute electric cars), expressed the opinion that a single application would kill competition, which would also affect the quality of services.
