That there may be said about Windows Vista, but the system is, despite all its shortcomings, it has a lot of positive tools that help in the event of a failure, your valuable information remains intact, and the system to remain workable. Today we tell you how to change the frequency of the restore points that are created by Vista on every boot, as well as, at 00:00 by default every day. For many, this obsession periodicity is simply unnecessary.
Press Start and type "Task Scheduler" (eng. Task Scheduler):
Once you open the utility, open a path in the left column with folders:
Task Scheduler Library / Microsoft / Windows / SystemRestore
Now in the middle window you see only SR event that we are going to edit by clicking on it twice with the mouse.
We are interested primarily triggers placed on the eponymous tab.
The first trigger - the time it performs a recovery point at 00:00 daily. Clicking on it twice with the mouse, you can change this frequency. For example to make the creation of a weekly instead of daily. Especially, if you work at night, change the time convenient for you, because the recovery point creation process resurkoemky enough.
Another trigger - event, it works every time you boot the system, slowing it so.
I changed the event create a restore point so that now it will be created turn off the computer - I do not like slow loading, but quite satisfied with the slow off :)
In other settings tabs mass which is not so difficult to understand. The results of the changes, see the logs in the History tab:
