Smartphones were flooded with soda, and then froze.
Typically, smartphone manufacturers indicate on promotional pages that their smartphones can last some time under water - but under the asterisk you can read that we are talking about clean water without impurities. In real use cases, gadgets are often filled with lemonade, cola and other liquids. Youtuber TechDroider decided to check if the current flagships of Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi can survive the soda flood.
The author completely immersed the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Samsung S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Ultra in lemonade, after which he put the container in the freezer for 4 hours. An hour later, when the ice melted, he washed off the soda with clean water and checked whether the devices survived the test.
It turned out that the current flagships did not care about such tests: all three models had screens, cameras and speakers working properly - and AlwaysOn continued to work even under ice.
Of course, repeating such a test with your smartphones is not recommended. But this test showed that modern flagships cannot be killed by sugary liquid or freezing.
