Miscellaneous / / June 02, 2023
Microsoft start Distribute the redesigned Paint image editor to Windows users participating in the Windows Insiders program (Canary and Dev channels).
Visually, one of the main changes was support for a dark theme. By default, the editor's appearance will adapt to the system settings, but users will be able to customize the theme color separately.
The image scale in the new version can be adjusted with greater precision. The standard preset values remain, but the dimensions can also be adjusted using the slider or by entering a specific value. Also, finally, there was a button that adjusts the image to the size of the window.
The Image Properties dialog box has been redesigned to match the Windows 11 style and the new app background, and other dialog boxes have been redesigned to match the same design. In addition, hot keys have been added to the toolbar for more convenient work from the keyboard.
It has not yet been announced when the new version of the application will be available to users of the stable version of Windows 11.
