WhatsApp users for Android discovered unusual bug. One simple link "breaks" the application."

We are talking about the wa.me/settings link - usually it leads to the WhatsApp settings, but on Android it leads to the app crashing. If you restart it, everything will be fine, but switching to a chat with a link leads to a new crash - and so on in a circle. At the same time, other correspondence can be opened and used as usual.

The problem manifests itself both in the standard application and in WhatsApp Business - but only on Android. Version 2.23.10.77 is reported to be affected, but it is possible that other builds are affected as well.

To fix this, you can not enter the affected chat until the developers fix this error. You can also clear the conversation history through the context menu or delete a message with a link through the WhatsApp web version or client on an iPhone or computer.
