The iPhone 16 Pro will greatly pump the cameras and increase the display

Chinese insiders shared new details about Apple's flagship smartphones scheduled for next year. According to them, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will receive a larger display, which will expand the internal space to accommodate a pumped camera and a larger battery.

The camera will be improved on two fronts at once. Firstly, the main sensor will increase to a size of 1/1.14 inches - versus 1/1.28 inches for the current iPhone 14 Pro and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max. And secondly, the smartphone will receive a periscope module for better lossless optical zoom.

Sources add that the periscope will appear later this year, but only in the iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max. From next year, it will become a hallmark of both Pro versions.

Earlier, Mark Gurman confirmed the increase in the displays of the flagship iPhone 16 from 6.1 and 6.7 inches to “a couple of tenths of an inch diagonally.” The iPhone 16‌ Pro and iPhone 16‌ Pro Max are expected to have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, respectively. The base versions will remain the same.

Also recently, information appeared on the Web that the iPhone 16‌ Pro Max, being the largest Apple smartphone, will change its name to iPhone 16 Ultra. This change will allow the device to be presented as something completely new and probably even more expensive.
