Microsoft announced a major update to File Explorer in Windows 11

The file manager will finally take on a modern look.
Microsoft at the Build 2023 conference talked about a major redesign of File Explorer. Application waiting "upgrading with modern visuals in line with the rest of Windows 11."
This announcement confirms recent rumors that in the latest version of the file manager, the company is finally will switch to the WinUI 3 interface style and optimize the application for both mouse and touch input.
The new design will have more fillets, as well as blur and transparency effects. The appearance of buttons and the search bar, the view of files and folders, the details pane, and links will change. Everything will be updated in line with Microsoft's modern design language.
The company first updated File Explorer in Windows 11 in 2021, refreshing the title area and then added tabs in 2022. Everything below the header has been largely untouched, and this fresh redesign aims to fix that.
