Alice from Yandex learned to write creative texts with the YaGPT neural network

"Yandex" spoke about the introduction of a large YaGPT language model into the voice assistant Alice. Thanks to this, the assistant can now solve creative problems: write a script for graduation, compose a business letter or propose a travel plan.

To start the function, you need to give the assistant the command "Alice, let's think of it." She has already appeared wherever Alice is available: in the Yandex application, the browser, as well as on smart speakers and TVs with this assistant.

Yandex notes that the technology is still in testing mode. Alice may be confused about the facts, but this does not prevent her from creating something new. In other words, numbers, dates and other details are best checked manually.

YaGPT was trained on Yandex supercomputers. She was fed articles and books to give her knowledge of the world, and then trained to distinguish good answers from bad ones using another neural network.

In the future, the developers want to teach the neural network to remember the context of the conversation and respond based on past questions. They also plan to add YaGPT to other Yandex products, including a search engine.
