It will allow you to quickly navigate to the necessary documents.
Google tests a new home page in the web version of Drive. It will automatically display "the most important files and folders".
On this new page, users will see two channels at the top. In "Suggested", Google will select documents that may be of interest to you. It will even show why the file is suggested in a separate column. For example, this could be because you or another user has recently opened, downloaded, or edited files—with time and date stamps.
The second channel is "Activity". It will display recent files and folders with access requests or recent comments.
Now, users open a list of Drive documents, modeled after the traditional file system. Before your eyes at once all the latest folders and images that have been recently used. In the new version, to get to this view, you will need to click on "My Drive" in the sidebar on the left.
The new Google Drive home screen is currently being tested with a group of users and will be rolled out later.
