Basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will get 48MP cameras

ProRAW support is questionable.
This year, it looks like the more affordable iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will switch to the 48-megapixel main cameras that first appeared in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. This was reported by analyst Jeff Pu from the Hong Kong company Haitong Intl Tech Research. Information from his new report for investors leads Mac Rumors.
Pu claims that the base 2023 flagships will get a main camera with a new 48MP tri-level sensor that can get more light for better shots. According to the analyst, Apple has encountered problems in the production of new sensors, which will affect the delivery time of new smartphones, but for now, the release is still scheduled for September.
It is worth noting that the 48-megapixel camera of the iPhone 14 Pro allows you to take pictures at maximum resolution only in ProRAW mode. It is likely that base models will not get this feature, but the quality of photos will still improve when shooting with a bunch of pixels.
Previously, the same analyst reported that Apple ditched the capacitive side buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro due to design issues. According to him, the pro versions will receive a titanium frame, a new A17 Bionic processor, 8 GB of RAM and a USB-C port for charging.
