Put the dried grass in a thick layer in the cat's tray. Change the filler as it becomes dirty or a specific smell appears. Be aware that grass can litter drain, so do not flush it down the toilet, but dispose of it in the trash.
3. Chicken filler and wood shavings
The soft filler for the tray will be comfortable for the cat, and the natural composition will be safe for her health. True, if the animal has an allergy, do not use wood shavings from needles. Give preference to sawdust made of beech or oak, which do not have a pungent odor. Chicken feed is sold in the form of dry compressed granules and absorbs liquid well.
For filler, mix 2 kg of feed with 2 kg of wood shavings (you can use sawdust) and 2 tablespoons of baking soda, which will prevent unpleasant odors. Pour homemade filler into the tray with a layer of 3-4 cm.
In the place where the cat will relieve himself, the material will crumple a little. It is convenient to collect it with a spatula and throw it in the trash can. The frequency of complete bedding changes depends on your pet. At least once a week, try to throw away the used filler, wash the tray thoroughly and fill it with new contents.
