New Laws May 2023: 4 Important Changes
Miscellaneous / / May 01, 2023
Pensions will be brought only by postmen, and the tax authorities will begin to freeze the accounts of the dead more quickly.
Pensions in cash will be delivered only by Russian Post
Pensioners can receive payments on Mir cards or in cash. Until May 1, money was issued by both the Russian Post and third-party organizations. But the latter sometimes had problems with delivery. For example, during floods small companies could not afford to hire transport to bring pensions to remote settlements.
From May 1, will be engaged in the issuance of cash only "Post office". According to lawmakers, the organization will ensure timely payments. The changes will be implemented automatically, pensioners do not need to do anything for this.
DNA will be collected from crime suspects
Law enforcement has a base of genomic information. Previously, the DNA of those who were convicted of committing grave and especially grave crimes, as well as crimes against sexual integrity, fell into it.
The new law is essential
expands a list of individuals from whom DNA will be collected. Now it is all who are convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for any crime. And also the suspects and the accused, that is, those whose guilt has not been proven and who are subjected to administrative arrest. It is assumed that if the suspects or accused are not ultimately convicted, they will be able to apply to have their data removed from the database.
The IRS will inform the banks about the death of their clients
After the death of a person, the money in his accounts cannot be used (with one exception - you can get up to 100 thousand rubles to compensate for the cost of near-death treatment and funeral). Savings are included in inheritance, which is then transferred to applicants for it by will or by law. However, it often happens that the person who receives the card of the deceased withdraws money or pays with it.
Under the new law, the tax must promptly inform banks about the death of their client. And they, in turn, are obliged to suspend any operations on accounts in order to prevent unlawful spending.
Soft drinks may start labeling
Marking involves applying to the product special label, by which it will be possible to find out where the product was produced, what path it has traveled to the counter, whether it is genuine. Shoes, medicines, dairy products and much more are already subject to it.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to start labeling kvass, compotes, fruit drinks, juices, sodas and other soft drinks on May 15. The resolution still exists in the form project, but it is likely that by the middle of the month it will be accepted. If this happens, these products may become more expensive, as labeling implies additional costs for the manufacturer.
