The blogger compared the autonomy of 9 flagships in 2023

The YouTube channel The Tech Chap published a large-scale comparison of the autonomy of the current flagships from iPhone to Vivo. Here are the models used:

• OPPO Find X6 Pro - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 5000 mAh;
• Vivo X90 Pro - Dimensity 9200, 4870 mAh;
• One Plus 11 - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 5000 mAh;
• Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max - A16 Bionic, 4323 mAh;
• Xiaomi 13 Pro - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 4 820 mAh;
• Google Pixel 7 Pro - Tensor G2, 5,000 mAh;
• Honor M5 Pro - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 5 100 mAh;
• Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (custom), 5,000 mAh;
• Asus ROG Phone 7 - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 6000 mAh.

The author notes that he took not new smartphones for the test, but they all came out recently and did not have time to sink in the maximum battery capacity.

For a fair comparison, he set identical brightness and refresh rate settings on smartphones, after which launched applications on them that the average user regularly uses: YouTube, games, social networks, camera. The application was changed every 15 minutes.

After six hours, ROG Phone 7 and Honor M5 Pro were clearly in the lead - they had 49% and 46%, respectively. Among the outsiders were Pixel 7 Pro (29%) and OPPO X6 Pro (32%). The iPhone did not do well either: 34%. This was followed by 11.5 hours in standby mode, and the test continued - already to the victorious. Here are the final results for each model, from best to worst:

1. Asus ROG Phone 7 - 11 hours 45 minutes;
2. Honor M5 Pro - 10 hours 45 minutes;
3. OnePlus 11 - 10 hours 24 minutes;
4. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra - 9 hours 43 minutes;
5. Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max - 9 hours 41 minutes;
6. Xiaomi 13 Pro - 9 hours 36 minutes;
7. Vivo X90 Pro - 9 hours 30 minutes;
8. OPPO X6 Pro - 9 hours 23 minutes;
9. Google Pixel 7 Pro - 8 hours 51 minutes.

Keep in mind that the above is the time of active use, and with the regular inclusion of voracious applications like the camera and games. Each of these devices performed well - even the "worst" Pixel is quite capable of surviving an overnight charge with average use.
