"Everything you want from superheroes": what the first viewers write about The Flash
Miscellaneous / / April 26, 2023
The film has been compared to Back to the Future and No Way Home with Holland.
At CinemaCon, the WB held preview screenings of The Flash for theater owners and journalists nearly two months before its international release. Here is what those who have seen it have to say.
1. “The Flash from DC is just great! This is not only one of the best DC movies, but also the best superhero movie ever made. Inventive storytelling, fantastic action scenes, great cast. And a whole bunch of little details for the fans. At the end I was in tears. The movie delivers everything you want in a superhero movie and more." Eric Davis (Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes)
2. “Just watched The Flash at CinemaCon. You won't believe what stuff is in there, and the movie showcases a lot of Barry Allen's new powers. This is truly one of the best DC movies ever made and works well as a bridge from the old DCEU to the new one. It's also the funniest DC movie ever." Rob Keyes (ScreenRant, CBR)
3. “The Flash has a lot more goofiness than I expected. It's really like reading a 5 issue crossover comic. Lots of funny scenes with Ezra Miller and time paradoxes. The fans will come down at the end. In the beginning and in the middle too,
Jordan Hoffman (Vanity Fair, Polygon)4. “Yes, The Flash is as good as the leaks claimed. It's a mix of Back to the Future and Spider-Man: No Way Home with the humor and heartiness of the former plus the action and twists and turns of the latter. Perhaps he went a little too far with ambitions, but this makes him no less pleasant, touching and funny, ” Germain Lussier (Gizmodo)
5. “The Flash is amazing. I know that Ezra Miller made a lot of mistakes, but he is very good in this movie. I liked Keaton, the action scenes, the humor and the emotionality. Andy Muschietti has created something truly special. But WB didn't show us the post-credits scenes." Stephen Weintraub (Collider)
Recall that the rental of "The Flash" starts on June 16. Yesterday Warner Bros. showed new trailer with two Batmans.
