Telegram added shared folders and fast attachment scrolling

Telegram announced another update of the application with new features and improvements to existing ones. Here's what's changed and added.

Shared folders with chats

You can now create links to chat folders to share with other users. The recipient will be able to add a folder to himself with one click (or tap) and join all the chats in it (or select only some specific ones).

The link can be customized: give access to only some chats and give it a separate name. If you add new chats to the shared folder and update the link, participants can join the added chats.

Different wallpapers for different chats

Previously, you could set one background for all conversations, but now you can set separate images for specific chats. The interlocutor will receive a notification and will be able to set himself the same - or choose others.

On Android, you need to click on the three dots in the top chat bar and select "Set wallpaper", and on iOS, open the user's profile and click on the three dots → "Change wallpaper".

More options for bots

• Web applications will be available through a direct link or mention of the bot's name in any chat.
• Web applications launched from a group can offer a collaborative or play mode for the participants.

Fast scroll through attachments

The attachment menu can now be swiped as quickly as Shared Media. It is enough to drag the block with the date down to return to the past.

Time to read messages in groups with topics

In topic groups (those with 200 or more members), it now shows when your posts have been read by other members.

Links to bots and Telegram Premium subscription via Fragment

The Fragment platform now allows you to buy a collectible public name for a bot (without -bot at the end) or a Premium subscription for TON.

Interface Improvements

• To postpone sending a message until the interlocutor appears online, just hold down the send button.
• When creating a group, it is not necessary to immediately add members to it.
• On the iPhone with Dynamic Island, a new animation has appeared: when scrolling through the profile, the avatar smoothly flows into the island.
