Natives of Apple showed the "smartphone of the future" - without a screen, but with AI

Translates, reads mail, projects calls to the palm of your hand and executes other commands without the need to pair with your phone.
Startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees Imran Chaudhry and Bethany Bongiorno, for the first time demonstrated a wearable gadget with a projection display and functions based on artificial intellect. It is designed to work as a personal assistant and fits in a breast pocket, writes The Verge.
It is a new kind of wearable device and platform that is built from the ground up. And it's a completely standalone gadget. You don't need a smartphone or any other device to pair with it.

The device supports touch, voice and gesture commands. “Imagine you've been in meetings all day and you want a quick update on what you missed,” Chaudhry says, then presses a button and asks you to catch up. In response, the assistant offers a summary of email, calendar invitations, and other messages.
However, it's still unclear exactly where the wearable gets all this information from, given that it doesn't need a paired smartphone. It can be assumed that it connects to cloud services.
The gadget is also capable of projecting a screen onto nearby surfaces. For example, to demonstrate an incoming call right on the user's hand. But what to do with it, the creators did not explain. Perhaps the option allows you to answer calls as if it were a hands-free phone.
The device is also equipped with a camera that identifies objects in the environment. On stage, Chaudhry used it to identify a candy bar. After that, he asked a smart assistant to analyze the composition and summarize whether they can be eaten with his diet.
Finally, it has a translator. It is enough to say the phrase in your native language, and the Humane gadget will read it, for example, in French.
Other details have not yet been disclosed. The release date of the gadget is also not reported.
