WhatsApp now lets you save disappearing messages
Miscellaneous / / April 21, 2023
While WhatsApp is being tested in beta animated emoji And new keyboard for Android, the stable version of the application also received a new feature: the ability to save disappearing messages.
If you use iMessage, you know that voice messages are deleted after a while by default, but you can manually leave them in the chat forever. Similarly, messages with self-destruction in WhatsApp will now work. The sender or recipient can pinch the message and select the bookmark icon. In this case, the message will remain even after the timer expires.
Messages left in this way can be viewed in a separate folder.
In this case, the sender will receive a warning that someone has chosen to leave a message. If it does not suit him, you can veto and cancel the save. In this case, the timer will work as usual.
The rollout has already begun. It should appear for all users in the coming weeks.
