Without 5G, but with satellite communications.
Huawei held a presentation in China, which showed a bracelet Band 8 and three mid-range smartphones. The new line consists of nova 11, nova 11 Pro and nova 11 Ultra.
All three new products received Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G chipset - a version without 5G support, so their capabilities are limited to LTE.
Huawei nova 11 Pro and Ultra
The difference between the two smartphones comes down to support for two-way satellite messaging via Beidou's Ultra satellite network. In addition, the characteristics of the devices are identical.
The screen is a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz sensor sampling. The resolution is 2652 × 1200 pixels. The panel curved on the sides is protected by Kunlun Glass – but in some models you will have to pay extra for it, which is used in cheaper options, is not reported. There is a pill-shaped hole in the top left corner for the dual selfie camera.
The front camera uses a 60MP main module with a 100° field of view and an 8MP secondary module with 2x optical zoom for portrait mode. There are three cameras on the back. The main one is 50 MP with f/1.4 or f/4.0 variable aperture and laser autofocus. There is also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle module and a "ten-channel color temperature sensor".
Huawei nova 11 Pro and Ultra batteries have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and support 100 W fast charging, a suitable adapter is included. Out of the box, smartphones run on HarmonyOS 3.0.
The Pro version is available in four colors: black and green with vegan leather backs, and white and gold with glass backs. The Ultra model is available in leather only.
Huawei has stopped disclosing RAM in its smartphones, so this parameter remains a mystery until the first reviews. In terms of storage, the nova 11 Pro is offered in 256/512 GB options, while the nova 11 Ultra only comes in 512 GB.
Huawei nova 11
The standard version has simpler features and a lower price tag compared to older models. The screen remains 10-bit AMOLED at 120Hz, but the diagonal is slightly reduced to 6.7 inches and the panel itself is flat.
The main cameras are in place: 50 MP + 8 MP + temperature sensor on the back are the same as the Pro and Ultra. But the selfie camera is only one and is located in the hole in the center of the display. She retained a resolution of 60 megapixels, a viewing angle of 100 ° and support for video recording in 4K.
The battery capacity is 4,500 mAh, like the older versions, but here charging is limited to 66 watts. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 with BLE, runs HarmonyOS 3.0 out of the box.
The same four colors are offered: green, black, white and gold, all have a plastic back panel with imitation glass. The top 512 GB version is offered only in green and black.
