How to set up energy saving in Telegram

Telegram's power saving mode allows you to use animations and visual effects in a limited way. form, so that the messenger spends less battery resources and works faster on devices with a weak stuffing. The function can be set to automatically activate when the charge level drops to a certain value.

While saving resources, the messenger displays animated stickers and emoji in the form of static pictures, disables automatic playback of GIFs and videos, deactivates animations and smooth transitions in the interface during calls and chats. The new Telegram option can be used as an addition to the power saving modes in Android and iOS.

To activate the function, do the following:

1. Open the main menu. Go to Telegram settings.

2. Go to the "Energy Saving" section.

3. Using the slider at the top of the screen, adjust when the power saving mode in the messenger automatically turns on. By default, the level is set to 10%.

4. Check if it is worth turning off animations and other effects before activating the mode energy saving.

The "Allow smooth switching" setting is responsible for displaying animations when switching from one chat or channel to another. By default, it remains active even after power saving is activated. But these effects can also be removed by clicking on the toggle switch.

There is no separate button in the settings that allows you to disable the automatic transition to a new mode. Therefore, if necessary, move the slider to the left until it stops, so that the value "Always off" is displayed in the status bar. In this case, it will be possible to manually adjust the animation settings.
