At Star Wars Celebration, the film about the first Jedi and the continuation of the story of Rey were announced

Plus details on a pack of TV shows featuring Jude Law, Carrie-Anne Moss and the Squid Game star.
Disney held a big Star Wars Celebration in London, dedicated to projects in the Star Wars universe. At the event, they shared details about the films and series that we will see in the next few years.
Movies
There are three feature films in development. But this is not about a new trilogy, but about individual works in different time periods. Disney wants to tell about the different periods of the Empire and continue the diversity that the series started. Here are the films we are waiting for:
- James Mangold ("Logan") will direct a film about the first Jedi who mastered the Force.
- Dave Filoni (Avatar: The Last Airbender and Star Wars Animation) is preparing a film about the escalating conflict between the last Imperials and the New Republic. The film should tie in and complete the stories"The Mandalorian», «Boba Fett books”,“ Ahsoka ”and other series.
- Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel) is working on a full-length sequel to Rey's story. Its action will unfold 15 years after " Skywalker. Sunrisewhen Ray rebuilds the Jedi Order.
There is no release date or trailer yet. Disney announced these films in chronological order, but the release schedule may not be in that order.
"Andor"
Showrunner Tony Gilroy revealed that the second and final season successful series will be released in August 2024. Filming began in November and should wrap up in August, with another year in post-production.
Gilroy noted that he and his team are extremely pleased that the series is nearing its finale because it allows them to unleash their creativity.
"The Skeleton Team"
A series about rebellious teenagers traveling the universe. Starring Jude Law. He plays a Jedi, who in the series will shine not only with acting, but also with a shaved head.
The first trailer was also shown at the event, but it is not yet available online.
"Acolyte"
The series will take place in the time period between the Old Republic and the events of the prequel trilogy. Showrunner Lesley Headland said that the project is positioned as a mix of "Frozen" with "Kill Bill", inspired by the films of Akira Kurosawa.
This is another case when a trailer was shown at the presentation, but it has not yet been posted on the Web. Fans in attendance point out that it featured Carrie-Anne Moss as a Jedi Master battling Amandla Stenberg (Ruta in The Hunger Games). The video also showed Lee Jongjae (leader in "Squid game") with a lightsaber.
Ahsoka
Rosario Dawson, who plays Ahsoka Tano, has confirmed that the series will air in August this year. More about the series and the first trailer - in separate article.
