Hogwarts Legacy locations compared to footage from Harry Potter films

February 10 will see the massive release of Hogwarts Legacy (aka Hogwarts: Legacy), an RPG set in the Harry Potter franchise. However, you will not meet Potter himself and his friends in the world of the new game: its events unfold 200 years before the story of the boy who survived.

Foreign publications have already received access to the game and shared their feedback. Twitter is full of enthusiastic comments, the more detailed reviews are also mostly positive. IGN notesthat the game has finally managed to convey the magic of the world of Harry Potter, and the German Eurogamer highlights ingenuity and love for details. On Metacritic game rating - 82 points out of 100 (however, so far based on 9 professional ratings).

And if the majority of reviews about the plot and gameplay still have to take the word of journalists, then it is easier to visually evaluate the project. The first walkthroughs have already appeared on YouTube, and the ElAnalistaDeBits channel has published a comparison of the same locations from the game and Warner Bros. movies.

Although individual elements of the castle's architecture differ, it is easy to attribute this to a difference of two centuries: there is nothing surprising that some towers were rebuilt during this time. In general, the silhouettes and main locations look as close as possible to the film adaptations of Rowling's novels.

The game will be released on February 10, but fans who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition will have access today, February 7, at 21:00 Moscow time. Pre-loading on PC and consoles is already available: you can start playing with it immediately on release, without wasting time downloading tens of gigabytes.
