It will be possible to place an online order without this.
On the websites of Vkusvill, DNS and some others, information appeared that from January 30, in order to make a payment, the user needs to download a Russian browser or a security certificate from the Ministry of Digital Development. About it writes RBC.
In some cases, the site indicates that payment will not go through without fulfilling these requirements, while others only indicate the likelihood of encountering difficulties when placing an online order.
We are talking about SSL / TLS security certificates, which help to transfer data in encrypted form, confirm the authenticity of the site, and also protect transactions. In February last year, foreign centers that issue such certificates refused to work with sanctioned companies in Russia, including Sberbank. For this reason, the bank had to switch to Russian certificates based on the National Certification Center of the Ministry of Digital Development.
Now owners of Russian sites can obtain such SSL / TLS certificates directly through the "Gosuslugi". They already support Russian browsers, including VK's Atom and the latest Yandex. Browser". However, it is not actually necessary to install them.
The representative of Sberbank explained that all partners of the bank have the right to independently choose how the payment solution will work on their side: "Sberbank" makes it possible to work both on certificates of the National Certification Center of the Ministry of Digital Development and on old international. It is not necessary for users to take any additional actions in order to make purchases in partner online stores, the bank added.
