An elegant classic that shows smartphone notifications, heart rate, steps and more.
Garmin has expanded its line of hybrid watches with the new Vivomove Trend, which combines the style of traditional analog watches with smart features and NFC.
The accessory has a reinforced polymer case with a diameter of 40 mm with a stainless steel frame. Time is shown both by classic mechanical hands and numbers on a hidden monochrome display. The latter also displays activity data, heart rate, reminders, various alerts and notifications from the smartphone.
The resolution of this digital panel is now 346×254 pixels, which is significantly higher than the previous Vivomove Sport (154×72 pixels). This allows you to display many more characters, making, for example, messages from your smartphone much more visual.
Vivomove Trend can be connected to both iPhone and Android devices. In the latter case, it is possible to send quick replies directly from the watch.
The gadget can not only count steps, distance and calories, but also track heart rate, analyze sleep and stress, and measure blood oxygen (SpO2).
Garmin Pay support for contactless payments and transport card data recording deserves special attention. This allows you to pay for hours without a smartphone, however, this will not work in Russia now.
Battery life in smart watch mode is 5 days, and in standard watch mode is 6 days. The case is waterproof (5 ATM), which means that the device can even be taken into the pool or shower.
The retail price of the Garmin Vivomove Trend was $270 (≈19,000 rubles). There will be four colorways at launch, all with interchangeable straps.
