It supports the Russian language and is already available to everyone.
Shutterstock has announced the launch of Shutterstock. AI is an AI image generator co-created with OpenAI (creators of DALL-E) and LG. It works on the same principle as DALL-E, Midjourney and other similar generators: the user enters text query, the algorithms do the rest and offer several options to choose from (in this case - 4).
What is noteworthy here is that the service supports all 20 languages in which Shutterstock is available - including Russian. True, for generation, all queries are still translated into English, so idioms and specific expressions can only be illustrated literally. Also, the new service is distinguished by more ethical approaches to the work of photographers and artists: neural networks were trained exclusively on materials from the image bank itself.
Unlike other generators that allow anyone to download the results of the "labor" of the neural network, Shutterstock's approach is more commercial. The service promised to pay authors whose materials are used to train algorithms. Not out of your own pocket, of course: users of the generator will have to pay for a license for the picture created by the neural network. On what principle will the remuneration of authors work, in
press release not specified.Shutterstock also disclaims any liability for similarities to existing brands, public figures, or other protected material. Before uploading, you need to confirm that you will not use a picture containing something that is copyrighted.
The generator is currently available in beta mode. You need a Shutterstock account to use it. The presence of a subscription is not necessary, the download limits are spent only when downloading the results: you can generate without restrictions.
