5. If you give a watch to a couple, for example for a wedding, they will count the duration of the relationship. Again, when the arrows stop, the couple will break up.

As is often the case with beliefs, it is difficult to establish their specific origin or the reason for which they arose. Since the fear of death is inherent in all people without exception, signs about watches could arise in different countries independently of each other.

If you are going to present a watch to a superstitious person, find out in advance what he thinks of such gifts. Sound reasoning is often powerless against belief in an omen, and the recipient of the gift may be offended by you or tormented by bad forebodings.

If the belief in bad omens is not too strong, but the person is afraid for your relationship, you can offer an option that is usually used when giving knives. Let them pay you a symbolic amount - they will give you a small coin, turning the gift into a purchase.
