Lenovo launches ThinkPhone, rugged smartphone for ThinkPad owners

Lenovo at CES introduced ThinkPhone, the first smartphone of a new series aimed at owners of ThinkPad notebooks.
Users of the device will have access to the ThinkShield security platform and new Think 2 Think technologies. The latter include:
- Instant connection between smartphone and PC via Wi-Fi with a single clipboard.
- Ability to view notifications from your smartphone in the Windows Action Center.
- Easily transfer files between ThinkPhone and PC.
- Streaming applications with the ability to run any Android application from your smartphone directly to your PC.
- Ability to use ThinkPhone cameras as a webcam for PC calls.
- One-click instant hotspot directly from your PC to take advantage of your ThinkPhone's 5G connectivity.
The ThinkPhone also features Moto KeySafe, a separate processor that provides an extra layer of security for storing PINs, passwords, and cryptographic keys.
The smartphone received an aluminum frame and a body with light aramid fiber, which is stronger than steel. Declared full dust and moisture protection (IP68), as well as military certification MIL-STD-810H. According to the manufacturer, ThinkPhone easily withstands drops from a height of 1.25 meters.
In terms of technical characteristics, the smartphone is truly flagship. It features a 6.6-inch FHD+ 144Hz pOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
Responsible for performance is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Plus with Adreno 730 graphics and 8/12 GB of RAM (LPDDR5). Built-in memory - 128, 256 or 512 GB (UFS 3.1) depending on the version.
The camera on the back includes a 50MP main module with OIS, a 13MP wide angle and a 2MP depth sensor. There is support for 8K video and 4K HDR + format. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera.
The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports fast charging at 68 W and wireless at 15 W. Among other things: Android 13, stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner built into the screen and a special red customizable button on the side of the case.
The price of the Lenovo ThinkPhone has not yet been announced.
