In Russia, they proposed to introduce registration in social networks with a passport

At the beginning of 2023, State Duma deputies are going to discuss a possible tightening of the conditions for using the Internet by children and update the legislation on the protection of minors on the Web. About this with reference to the head of the Committee on Family, Women and Children write "News".
The State University of Management conducted a survey on this topic and found out:
- 72% of children and adolescents have encountered unpleasant content on websites and social networks;
- 47% said that they were offered to try drugs, alcohol on the Web or earn money by spreading information about them;
- 14% admitted that they paid attention to offers to earn money.
A total of 26,580 respondents aged 6 to 18 took part in the survey. Based on the results of the study, university specialists proposed to develop and adopt a law that would require registration in social networks according to passport data - that is, from the age of 14.
Parents or legal representatives of the child will be able to register children who have not yet turned 14.
Experts also believe that such a law should introduce administrative and criminal liability for cyberbullying.
