At the same time, they released a more affordable version of Redmi K60E - it is already on sale.
Redmi introduced a range of new devices in China, including new ones smart watch, bracelet and a series of smartphones Redmi K60. It comes in three models. We tell you what you need to know about them.
Redmi K60 Pro
The top model of the line received a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is cooled using a large evaporation chamber - its volume is 1.5 times larger than in Xiaomi 13. Thanks to this, the smartphone should remain cool even under intense load and provide maximum performance. The memory is also fast: LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0.
It uses a 6.67-inch 2K (3200 × 1440 pixels) AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1400 nits. The screen has a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The fingerprint scanner is located under the display. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound are responsible for the sound.
The main camera consists of a large Sony IMX800 module with a resolution of 50 MP (1 / 1.49 inches), like
Xiaomi 13, and modest extras: here is an ultra-wide at 8 megapixels and a macro at 2 megapixels. The main camera supports the CyberFocus 2.0 system, a combination of optical and electronic stabilization. The resolution of the selfie camera is not disclosed. The 5,000mAh battery supports wired charging up to 120W, with the right adapter, a full charge will take 19 minutes. Also, the smartphone can be charged wirelessly - a maximum power of 30 watts. This is the first time a Redmi flagship has used wireless charging.
Out of the box, the smartphone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. NFC-module for contactless payment is present.
The novelty will be released in white, black and mint green colors. The K60 Pro will also be available in a special Champion Performance Edition racing version, featuring Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team signature turquoise.
Redmi K60 Pro will go on sale in China on December 31 at a price of 3299 yuan (≈33,300 rubles). The release of the international version has not yet been announced.
Redmi K60
The base model retained the key features of the K60 Pro, although there were some compromises. In particular, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was replaced here with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the memory was "simplified" to LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1, and the main camera became 64-megapixel, but smaller: 1/2 inch. Additional modules are the same.
The battery capacity was increased to 5,500 mAh, but the charging power was reduced to a “modest” 67 watts. 30W wireless charging is included.
There are no changes in terms of screen, sound, operating system and NFC support.
Redmi K60 will go on sale in black, white, green and blue colors, with the black version having a carbon fiber back cover, and the blue one with leather. Prices start at 2,499 yuan (≈25,200 rubles).
Redmi K60E
The third and most affordable model in the new series ditched the Qualcomm processor in favor of Mediatec's flagship Dimensity 8200 (4nm) chip. The screen here is the same as in older models.
The main camera consists of a 48 megapixel main module with OIS and two more sensors, the resolution of which is not specified. Probably, these are the same 8 and 2 megapixels as in the older models. The battery matches the regular K60 and also supports 67W wired charging, but there is no wireless.
Redmi K60E is already on sale in China at a price of 2199 yuan (≈22,200 rubles) for a model with 8/128 GB of memory; the top modification for 12/512 GB costs 2,799 yuan (≈28,300 rubles).
