Xiaomi introduced MIUI 14 and named the devices that will be updated first

Along with the line Xiaomi 13 The Chinese manufacturer also introduced a new firmware version - MIUI 14, based on Android 13. The update is predominantly focused on performance and energy efficiency improvements: in particular, Xiaomi promises that third-party apps will consume 22% less power.

Also in the new version, the number of standard applications was reduced to eight. Thanks to this, the system weighs 1.5 GB less. Visual changes are small, but still there. Users can switch between 4 icon sizes and add virtual animals to the screen. They also promise new widgets and improved folder settings.

The first update wave will start in February 2023. It will include:

• Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, 12S Ultra
• Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Dimensity Edition
• Xiaomi MIX Fold 2
• Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Extreme Edition, K50 Gaming Edition

The company promised to name the devices that will receive updates in the second and third waves in the near future. It is worth noting that we are talking about Chinese devices: the global version of the firmware will be released later.
