Netflix announces release date for Season 2 of Shadow and Bone

Netflix on Twitter announced the premiere date for the second season of Shadow and Bone. The sequel will appear on the platform on March 16. The announcement was supplemented with frames.

The second season will have eight episodes. All of the main cast returned to their roles, including Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov and Ben Barnes as the Darkling aka General Kirigan.

«Shadow and bone" is based on a series of books with the unofficial title "Greeshaverse" by American Leigh Bardugo. The works are inspired by the atmosphere of Tsarist Russia. The screenwriter of the films “Lights Out…” and “Arrival” Eric Heisserer, who was assisted by the writer herself, worked on the series.

The series received positive reviews from both viewers and critics. It is 88% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Earlier, the second season had a small teaser.
