Google Play will learn how to archive apps instead of deleting them completely

If such an application is pulled out of the archive, it will save all data, including the account.
9to5Google editors released a new article in the APK Insight series that analyzes the APKs of apps uploaded by Google to the Play Store. In the code, you can find hints of innovations that have not yet been included for users. So, in the latest version of Google Play, they found two useful functions at once, which they managed to forcefully activate and demonstrate.
The first is app archiving, which Google announced in November. This is an alternative to the usual removal of applications. If you erase not only the program but also all data when you uninstall, then archiving preserves user information. As a result, the restored application will look the same as when you archived it: you won’t have to log in again and change settings.
This method allows you to mothball an application that you may need in the future, but now you want to free up space or just relax From him.
The second innovation is less ambitious, but also pleasant. If now you can only track the download process of the application through a notification, then in the future the option “Show installation progress indicator” will appear in the settings. It adds a little bubble that shows the progress of the app download as you keep scrolling through Google Play.
In the stable build, these features are not yet available, 9to5Google forced them to be activated during the tests. But with a high probability they will be released soon - given that everything you need is already in the code.
