Presented smartphones Honor 80 and 80 Pro with a 160 MP camera

In China, a presentation of new Honor devices took place, in which the manufacturer introduced the sub-flagship Honor 80 and the top-end Honor 80 Pro. They differ in screens, cameras and processor.

Honor 80

This model received a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and coverage of the entire DCI-P3 color gamut. In the hole in the center is a 32MP selfie camera.

Responsible for the performance of the device is the new eight-core Snapdragon 782G (6 nm) processor with Adreno 642L graphics, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. Battery – 4,800 mAh with 66W charging support. From 3% to 50% it charges in 15 minutes.

The main camera is triple with a main sensor of 160 MP (1 / 1.56 ″, f / 1.8) and technology for combining four pixels into one (binning). The second module is wide-angle with a resolution of 8 megapixels (122º) and autofocus. The third one is at 2 megapixels, for measuring the depth of field.

The device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2 BLE, NFC, as well as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou navigation. The screen has a fingerprint scanner.

The price of Honor 80 is from 2,699 yuan (≈23,000 rubles).

Honor 80 Pro

The Pro version has a larger display, with curved edges and a wider center hole for dual cameras, 50MP and 2MP. At the presentation, the manufacturer did not miss the opportunity to compare this "island" with Dynamic Island iPhone 14 Pro, noting the smaller cutout size, but keeping silent about the lack of face recognition sensors in the Honor 80 Pro.

The display of the smartphone has a diagonal of 6.78 inches and a resolution of 2700 × 1224 pixels. Matrix - OLED, 10 bit, 120 Hz, with DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10 + support. A fingerprint sensor is hidden under the panel.

The heart of the device was the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (4 nm) with a slightly lower frequency of top cores, which, according to the manufacturer, reduced heat and reduced throttling. The memory capacities are the same as the basic version. The same applies to the battery capacity and communication modules.

The main camera of the Honor 80 Pro has the same 160-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, but the wide-angle module is different - it is 50 megapixels and also with autofocus.

The price of Honor 80 Pro is from 3,499 yuan (≈29,800 rubles).
