OnePlus will launch its first tablet in 2023
Miscellaneous / / April 05, 2023
The gadget has not yet been released, but it has already been branded underpowered and overpriced.
AllAboutSamsung Leak Finder and Editor Max Jambore told on his Twitter that OnePlus Pad, the brand's first tablet, is currently in development. According to the author, the release of the device is scheduled for next year.
The post was commented by WinFuture editor Roland Quandt. According to him, it will be "another low-powered and overpriced junk Android tablet - probably some kind of Realme Pad with a different back cover." He also noted that the market for Android tablets now leaves much to be desired.
While Quandt's comment may sound harsh, it may not be entirely off the mark. According to previous leaks, OnePlus is developing its tablet based on OPPO Padreleased in February. It was equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor and an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels at 120 Hz. The device also has an 8,300 mAh battery and supports stylus input.
In other words, it will be another mid-range tablet, while in the premium segment, only Samsung's Galaxy Tab line can really compete with the iPad. However, this may soon change - when Google finally releases its Pixel Tablet.
