Pixel 7a will be a big step forward in Google's low-cost smartphone lineup

Insiders compared a lot of new data about upcoming Google devices and came to the conclusion that in the bowels of the company a very interesting Pixel 7a is being developed that will elevate the series of "affordable" models to a new level.

After comparing all the leaks and rumors about the smartphone, they found that this particular device often appears in insiders codenamed Lynx. He is credited with the same Tensor G2 chip as the flagships Pixel 7, as well as a ceramic case.

If this is true, then the transition to ceramics will be a big deal for the Pixel lineup, as up to this point, Google has used plastic, glass, and metal for its phones. Ceramic would be a particularly bold choice for the Pixel a series.

Another notable change that appears to be coming to the Pixel 7a is the introduction of wireless charging. It will probably only support 5 watts of power, but the very fact of its presence will already be a plus.

The other highlight of the Pixel 7a has to be the camera suite. The same Samsung GN1 (1/1.3-inch, 50-megapixel sensor) that debuted in the series is mentioned as the main sensor.

Pixel 6. And it can be supplemented with a Sony IMX787 (1/1.3″, 64MP sensor) for telephoto shooting, which already raises some doubts.

With such a set of cameras, the smartphone will be too similar to the flagship model, but the editors of the 9to5Google portal believe that this is all about the Pixel 7a. The novelty can be presented at the beginning of next year.
