At the same time, they showed the base 12T with a “modest” 108 megapixels.
In addition to the budget Redmi Pad Xiaomi today introduced a couple of gadgets under the main brand - including Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro. The surprise did not work out: as well as expected, these are two global variations on the theme of the Chinese Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. Here's what you need to know about them.
Xiaomi 12T Pro
Like the Redmi K50 EE, this smartphone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The fingerprint scanner is located under the display.
Responsible for performance Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, supplemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage in the top modification.
The main feature of the novelty was the camera: it has a resolution of 200 megapixels - for the first time in a Xiaomi smartphone. This is the new 1/1.22" Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor. So that photos do not take up much space, a bunch of pixels is supported: 4-in-1 or 16-in-1 to choose from. The other two modules are less impressive: an 8MP ultra wide-angle and a 2MP macro. The front camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels.
The smartphone received a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120 W fast charging, which allows you to fully charge it in 19 minutes. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 12 with the MIUI 13 shell.
Xiaomi 12T
The smartphone is almost completely identical to the older version, there are four important differences:
- Dimensity 8100 processor instead of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1;
- the main camera is simpler here: Samsung ISOCELL HM6 at 108 megapixels with OIS, additional modules and the front unit are identical;
- speakers support Dolby Atmos, but without Harman Kardon tuning;
- 8/256 GB version - limit: 12/256 GB is not here.
Price and availability
Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will be offered in black, gray and blue colors. At the presentation, prices were announced only for the base models for 8/128 GB. Xiaomi 12T in this version will cost 599 euros, and Xiaomi 12T Pro - 749 euros. This is about 35,000 and 43,800 rubles, respectively. The cost of advanced options will be announced closer to the start of sales, which will take place on October 13th.
