This is the easiest way and requires almost no effort on your part. Line your cellar or basement floor with two layers of newspaper. On the bedding, spread the heads of cabbage at a distance of at least 10 cm from each other so that they do not start to rot. And also try to put the cabbage on its side, and not on the stalk. This will also help keep the vegetables from spoiling.

You can cut the vegetable into thin strips or large cubes. Arrange the cabbage in bags and flatten them for save space. You can use special freezer bags with a slider closure.
