Next Thor could be Chris Hemsworth's last

Vanity Fair held interview with Chris Hemsworth after the National Geographic documentary series Unlimited. The project is dedicated to ways to resist the natural mechanisms of aging and unleash the full potential of the human body.
One of the elements of the show was a DNA test designed to find out what dangers lay in his genetics. And the results were sad: he immediately has two copies of the APOE4 gene, which scientists bind with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. While one in four people have one copy, only 2-3% have both.
By the series finale, Hemsworth tries to accept this reality and emphasizes that increased risk is not the same as illness. The news did not come as a complete surprise to him, since his grandfather suffers from Alzheimer's, but the actor inevitably reconsiders his outlook on life and career.
Talking about it, Hemsworth noted that he is madly in love with acting in Furios, the prequel to Fury Road, in which he plays an unnamed villain. In the future, he is going to choose roles even more carefully and stop perceiving work as a race that he has not left for the past 10 years. Until now, he couldn't really enjoy what he was doing, because he constantly had to move somewhere else.
Now he is attracted to smaller and more mundane paintings, where he does not have to memorize combat choreography and wear heavy, uncomfortable armor. He would love to star in a romantic drama, but he understands that fans want to see more of Thor - and Marvel practically promised a continuation in the final fourth solo album. If there is a fifth film and the makers come up with a fresh and unexpected idea, then Hemsworth is ready to take part. But for his hero, this will most likely be the end:
— The story of Iron Man got an ending. The story of Captain America got an ending. Do you hope there will be an end to Thor's story as well?
- Yes of course. I think I'll have to turn the last page if I do another movie. It seems to me that this will be the final, but so far no one has said anything specific to me. There is always a hero's birth, a hero's journey, and a hero's death. What stage am I at? Who would know.
From an interview with Vanity Fair
While this is just Hemsworth's speculation for now, the ending to Thor's story sounds logical: Marvel is indeed wrapping up stories from phase three, so the god of thunder could very well be next.
