On the shoulders of modern humans lies a huge number of various cases and problems - significantly more than the time needed to carry them out. On all sides we are surrounded by challenges that require immediate response and if you do not, they accumulate like a snowball. For years, I tried to use GTD and a variety of case management techniques, but none of them did not help me. All methods takes a lot of time to configure them, though I might as well spend it to carry out its tasks.
Over time, pozaimomstvovav of different methods of some of the techniques I came up with a method called «Do folder»
* * *
What is Do folder?
Now I get the problem in several ways: email, iOS Calendar, incoming calls, messages and others. Track all you need to do time consuming, thus your productivity falls. Eventually, I solved this problem, and this helped me a method of tracking a variety of things with the appropriate applications.
I use a lot of applications to achieve their goals, at what each application is responsible for certain things. Do folder is just the place to store all of these applications, all of which require my constant attention - is here.
What should be placed in this folder?
Do folder will not work if you do not use it. That is why it is very important to keep a few key here (Anchor) applications. These applications I carry the mail, calendar, and other, that is, those applications that you use all the time, no matter what.
Now you need to add here other applications that you use. There are many good applications that will help to maintain your productivity if you use them on a daily basis (for this you need to develop a habit, and it's not easy). So if you add these applications to Do folder, you'll see them every time when you open it, thus reminding yourself of what you need to start them. It is a kind of halo effect (halo effect), So I call these Halo Apps application.
Anchor Apps
1. Mailbox. I use it to keep track of is really important messages that require my reaction. I do not use push-notifications for email, instead I use a notification icon (counter). In the Mailbox it is very convenient, because it shows the total number of incoming messages, not only unread.
2. Any. DO. This is my list, with his help, I keep track of everything that needs to be done (here I have all the things that are not included in the Mailbox). In addition, I use Any. DO every morning to set priorities for tasks throughout the day. The counter on the notification icon shows only those tasks that I need to do today. Thus, when the folder is closed, the icon displays the number of tasks from the Mailbox and Any. The DO, that is, the total amount of what I need to do.

3. The calendar. I prefer the built-in calendar from Apple, but the counter on the notification icon is usually inaccurate, so I unplug it completely. Calendar events are important enough for me, but I do not need to notify their tracking.
Halo Apps
1. MyFithnessPal. I use it to maintain their diet and tracking exercises that should be done. It is convenient to observe and improve the shape of the current progress. This is part of my daily fitness goals that I set myself. That is why I have found for this application in my Do folder.

2. Lift. I use it for motivation to implement a variety of repetitive tasks that I want to do every day, turning them into habits later. This app had me before, but it began to "work" only when I put it in the Do folder.

3. Evernote. I constantly improve their interactions with Evernote. I use quick notes to keep track of everything that you need to organize and view later: recommendations fiction, notes to send to Any. DO, ideas for side-projects and start-ups. Adding things I needed to Evernote, I will know that they will never be lost, and if necessary, they can always be sorted and reordered.

Your productivity is directly dependent on your actions. It is important not to think of each task is too long and too much, just perform the tasks and achieve goals.
