Let me know: CHI or VHI - which policy do you prefer to be treated?

Share stories about punitive medicine in public hospitals and a bunch of unnecessary examinations in private clinics.
«Let me know” is a rubric for the stories of our readers. Every week we launch a survey and look forward to your comments. The most interesting of them end up in articles and collections.
Until the age of 20, I used only a compulsory medical insurance policy (OMI). It gives all Russians the right to receive free medical care. But then I thought about signing a voluntary medical insurance contract (VHI). Various programs include doctor's consultations, examinations and tests. And all this - in more comfortable conditions.
Before concluding a contract, I read many articles about how rational and profitable it is. And in the end I realized that acquiring a VHI policy is not such a useless decision.
It was important for me to regularly undergo preventive examinations with some highly specialized doctors - a gynecologist, endocrinologist, dentist-orthodontist - every six months to take a blood test for vitamins and do the necessary injections. And I was satisfied with my choice.
Tell me, how are things with you? Have you had to choose between CHI and VHI policies? How would you rate both options? What did you like more?
