3 ways to make boiled corn even tastier

1. Cook in milk with honey
Ingredients
- 4 fresh ears of corn;
- salt - to taste;
- 300 ml of milk;
- 80 g butter;
- 2 tablespoons of honey;
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme - optional
Cooking
Remove the leaves from the cobs and place in a deep saucepan. Pour in enough water to cover the corn. Add salt.
Pour in milk, put almost all the butter, a tablespoon of honey and thyme sprigs, if desired. Put on medium heat.
Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes until corn is tender. You can check this by hooking and biting one of the grains.
Take out corn from the pot and brush the cobs with the remaining butter, if desired. You can decorate with fresh herbs and honey.
2. Saute with lemon, garlic and hot pepper
Ingredients
- 4 fresh ears of corn;
- salt - to taste;
- 10 g butter;
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, such as olive oil
- 2-3 medium cloves of garlic;
- 1 fresh hot pepper;
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice;
- 100 ml of water.
Cooking
Boil corn in salted water until tender, about 10 minutes. Add butter and vegetable oil to a deep frying pan.
chop finely garlic, cut the pepper into circles and put them in the oil mixture. Roast for 1-2 minutes to exchange flavors. Lay the cobs on the skillet.
Mix lemon juice and water. Pour in the rest of the ingredients. Salt.
Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes, turning the cobs occasionally. Remove the lid and fry the corn for a couple more minutes.
Take out the cobs, pour over the rest of the sauce.
3. Serve with flavored butter
Ingredients
- 125 g butter;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- onions, basil, dill or other fresh herbs - to taste;
- zest of ½ lemon;
- salt - to taste;
- pepper - to taste;
- 4 fresh ears of corn.
Cooking
In room temperature oil, add chopped garlic, herbs, lemon zest, salt and pepper. Mix well and beat with a fork.
Form a bar of any shape from butter and send to fridge.
Cook the corn: boil it in salted water or grill it.
Move the cobs to a plate. Cut the butter and put a piece on each of them.
