The first call from a mobile phone is 50 years old. Do you remember your first phone?

Mobile phone inventor Marty Cooper made the first call exactly 50 years ago. On Tuesday, April 3, 1973, at the corner of Sixth Avenue in New York, he busily took out a phone book from his pocket, selected one of the numbers, and dialed the numbers on the cream-colored device. Then he glanced at the surprised passers-by and put the unit to his ear.
Then Cooper was an engineer at Motorola. And he called his colleague from the competing company Bell Laboratories.
According to the programmer's recollections, there was silence at the other end of the wire, although the call worked. "I think he gritted his teeth," said 94 year old Cooper.
The commercial version of Cooper's prototype, the Motorola Dynatac 8000X, was not released until 1984, 11 years after the first call.
It was an imposing unit with a 15cm antenna and a weight of 790 grams, which is almost five times heavier than the iPhone 14 (172 grams). In talk mode, it worked only 30 minutes, and it took 10 hours to restore a full charge.
Phones were so inconvenient back then. Do you remember your first mobile phone? Write in the comments.
