Previously, the announcement of a folding gadget from Apple was predicted only after 2026.
According to trusted insider and apple product analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple could release a foldable iPad as early as 2024. Then the company will present updated iPad mini.
“I am positive about the release of the foldable iPad in 2024 and expect the new model to increase shipments and improve the company's product range.” wrote he's on Twitter.
Flexible iPad must be equipped with a "carbon fiber stand". It is being developed by Chinese component manufacturer Anjie Technology. Probably, we are talking about some kind of footboard for working in PC mode.
This isn't the first time Kuo has announced a release date for Apple's foldable device. Two years ago, he reported that the company was preparing to release such a gadget in 2023. But it seems that then it was about a flexible smartphone, as he wrote about a screen with a diagonal in the region of 7.5-8 inches.
Last February, another well-known insider, Ross Young, wrote that Apple was developing a foldable iPad/Macbook hybrid with a roughly 20-inch screen. And according to him, the gadget will be ready no earlier than 2026.
Later, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman talked about Apple's dual-screen foldable device, where the bottom half of the display would be a virtual keyboard. He also did not give an exact release date.
